Cardiff School of Art and Design (CSAD) / Cardiff Metropolitan University held their European Art-Science-Technology Network for Digital Creativity (EASTN-DC) festival Matte(R)ealities on the 4th to the 6th March 2022.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis we delivered a virtual festival with an exciting schedule including presentations, panels, workshops, fixed media compositions, and a virtual exhibition of art works.

The EASTN-DC emphasis at Cardiff has been loosely focused on notions of ‘materiality’ within the field for example through exploring the physical materials of sound media, augmented objects, haptics and physical modeling, ecological concerns, kinetic art and physical systems.
