The piece is composed by the sounds of a pipe organ recorded into the materials of the church where it’s installed. It’s a drone composition which explores the inside of the objects that surround the pipe organ, that resonate in different ways. Different shapes and materials are explored through a geophone, which acts like a magnifying glass to reveal the most hidden sonic characteristics of different things. It reveals the hidden sonic world of materials that resonate with the power of the pipe organ, which can be considered an augmented instrument which include the space where it’s placed as sounding board.

Alessio DuttoAlessio Dutto. Sound artist, it’s music is focused on harmonies sculpted in the noise, slow drones, steady rhythms, stratification and walls of sound. His work search for the meaning of borders, in every possible meaning. He studied electronic music composition at the Conservatory of Cuneo (IT) and the Conservatory of Den Haag (NL).
EASTN-DC, European Art-Science-Technology Network for Digital Creativity, is a network dedicated to the time-based digital arts: musical arts, visual arts, performing and interactive arts. It is gathering 16 partners in 13 different countries from Europe to the Americas. They will host and exchange about 70 creators in the frame of a 16 international events tour spread over 4 years. These privileged moments, in direct contact with the audience, will frame a new and systemic approach, binding the Knowing “Disseminate”, the Learning “Inseminate”, the Making “Collect”, a digital creativity factory leading to a creative citizen.
